Ho Ho Ho – Dr. Music Promotion wünscht mit seiner musikalischen Retrospektive ein frohes Weihnachtsfest und einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr

Nach der Achterbahnfahrt der letzten Jahre hatten wir uns doch alle endlich wieder ein bisschen Normalität gewünscht, aber leider spielt die Welt sowohl politisch als auch nahezu unaufhaltsam klimatisch weiter verrückt, und dies hat auch immer noch fatale Folgen für das Musikbusiness und insbesondere die Livebranche. Zwar finden Festivals und Konzerte wieder statt, aber etliche Tourneen, gerade der kleineren und mittleren Acts, werden nach wie vor aufgrund der ganzen unsäglichen Gegebenheiten und der dadurch ausgelösten Verunsicherung der Fans gänzlich abgesagt. Dies betrifft auch viele unserer Künstler und führt dazu, dass gerade die Berufsmusiker es immer noch sehr schwer haben ihre musikalische Kreativität auszuleben und uns mit ihrer Kunst, vor allem auf der Bühne, zu begeistern. Von daher auch unser Appell, bitte kauft im Vorverkauf die Tickets und schaut, dass ihr eure Lieblingskünstler tatkräftig unterstützt! Denn ohne Musik ist es still, und wir wollen es doch alle krachen lassen und uns von all den unschönen Dingen, die auf unserer Welt passieren.

Dafür haben wir auch mit unseren Veröffentlichungen gesorgt und nach den letzten turbulenten Jahren konnten wir euch dieses Jahr wieder einen ausgewogenen musikalisch-bunten Mix aus den Genres Pop, Rock und Metal präsentieren. Zu Beginn des Jahres mischten die deutschen Punkrocker LAUTSTÆRKE mit ihrem Album „Vom Morgen danach (Deluxe)“ die Alternative & Indie Charts auf und landeten prompt auf #1. WALTER SUBJECT zündeten mit ihrem Album „Signals“ ein hochexplosives Alternative Rock Feuerwerk, und MESENTERY vertonten mit ihrem Death Metal Album „Soulfucker“ eine beklemmende Junkie-Biografie. Während CPYIST mit „Never Neverland“ eine Darkwave Klangkulisse im Steampunk-Gewand erschufen, die soeben auch mit zwei internationalen Awards für ihr exzeptionelles Musikvideo zu „My Thoughts To Be“ ausgezeichnet wurde. Die außergewöhnliche Melodic Metal Formation NEVARIA meldete sich nach ihrem Debütalbum „Finally Free“ (2019) mit den beiden neuen scharfzüngigen Melodic Metal Singles „Reckless“ und „Battle Cry“ zurück, und die Symphonic Metal Band AETERNITAS verkündete nach der Single-Veröffentlichung „Shadows“ ihren Abschied, um nun gestärkt in einer neuen Formation namens AEON GODS zurückzukehren. Wir sind gespannt! Im Frühjahr veröffentlichten CHILD OF CAESAR ihre erste Single „Seven“ mit beeindruckendem Lyric-Video, gefolgt von ihrem sinistren Gothic Metal Meisterwerk „Spirit & Liberation“. FOUR TRIPS AHEAD trotzten dem Schicksal mit ihrer Progressive Power Rock EP „Remnants“ und ließen ihr furioses Lyric-Video zu ihrer dritten Single „Higher“ los. Ganz im Zeichen eines selbstbewussten Feminismus veröffentlichte die junge Berliner Sängerin DEFRANZY ihre pointierte Pop-Rap Single „Die Verwandlung“ und führte damit ihr Upgrade auf Version DEFRANZY 2Punkt1 aus. Im Sommer starteten THE THREE SUM mit abgefahrenen kleinen Horror-Geschichten und einem dystopischen Mix aus Punkrock und Metal ihren Streifzug im furchteinflößenden Straßenkreuzer auf dem staubigen Asphalt des internationalen Rock ’n’ Roll Highways und traten mit ihrer explosiven EP „Kingdom Fall“ ordentlich aufs Gaspedal. OVERSENSE machten sich währenddessen mit den Songs ihres letzten Albums „Egomania“ im Gepäck auf nach Mallorca und begeisterten die Fans auf dem diesjährigem Full Metal Holiday, gefolgt vom Gig beim Metal Hammer Paradise. Pünktlich zu Halloween riefen REDNEX mit ihrem neuen freakigen Partykracher „Glad Rags Jug“ die #GladRagsDance Challenge aus und schmissen im Musikvideo zu ihrer feuchtfröhlichen Single eine ausgelassene Hinterhof-Sause, die es wahrlich in sich hat. Das neue Metal All-Star-Projekt ERANAËS setzt mit seiner Single „After The Rain“ (feat. Margarita Monet & Derek Sherinian) ein Zeichen für das Kindeswohl und veröffentlichte soeben eine weitere sanftere, aber nicht weniger intensive Variante des Songs als Piano-Version (feat. Margarita Monet & Arsen Petrosyan) samt minimalistisch animiertem Musikvideo. Zum Ende des Jahres meldeten sich dann EXTRAMENSCH mit ihrer neuen dystopischen Dark Metal Single „Mein Leid für Euch“ nebst düster-provokantem Musikvideo zurück und vollführen sowohl klanglich wie visuell einen gelungenen Drahtseilakt zwischen Emotion und Provokation, dynamischer Härte und melodischer Finesse, irgendwo zwischen Feuersbrunst und Winterdepression. Zum Ausklang geht es dann aber wieder ruhiger zu und NOGAPS MUSIC laden mit ihrer herzerwärmenden Weihnachtssingle „The Horse Beneath The Tree“ ins magische Weihnachtswunderland ein, in dem ein kleines Mädchen davon träumt, ein echtes Pferd unter dem Weihnachtsbaum vorzufinden.

COLLINS los, der sein Country Music Meisterwerk in Los Angeles und hoch oben in den Lüften dieser Welt komponiert hat und über Dr. Music Records veröffentlichen wird, genauso wie auch KAISER FRANZ, der ehrliche handgemachte deutsche Rockmusik mit charmanter raubeiniger Poesie vereint. PETER WILSON, Sänger der New Yorker Progressive Power Rock Band FOUR TRIPS AHEAD, hat sein erstes Solo-Album am Start und SKULLBOOGEY werden euch mit ihrem nächsten Longplayer eine deftige Portion Heavy Rock um die Ohren knallen. Um einiges sanfter geht es dann mit JOHNROSE weiter, der nach seinem Albumdebüt „Wings“ und der Single „Toward The Sun“ mit seinem zweiten Werk feinsten Progressive Rock mit Pop Elementen verbindet. Das lebenslustige Ruhrpott-Original Peter Steinbach steckt derzeit noch in den Vorbereitungen für sein nächstes Album mit authentischen und selbst komponierten Pop-Rock Songs und unsere Management-Band VISIONATICA verschanzt sich derzeit noch im Studio, um am Nachfolger von „Force Of Luna“ und „Enigma Fire“ zu feilen. Dazu kommen noch einige weitere sehr spannende Projekte, über die wir euch in den kommenden Wochen und Monaten informieren werden.

2023 kann kommen, und wir sind sehr gespannt auf all das, was uns erwartet und hoffen, euch gefällt auch die ein oder andere kommende nationale und internationale Neuerscheinung von Dr. Music Records! Ho Ho Ho – Dr. Music Promotion wishes with its musical retrospective a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

After the roller coaster ride of the last few years, we had all wished for a bit of normality again, but unfortunately, the world continues to go politically as well as almost unstoppable climatically mad, and this still has fatal consequences for the music business and especially the live industry. Although festivals and concerts are taking place again, quite a lot of tours, especially of the smaller and medium acts, are still canceled entirely due to all the unspeakable circumstances and the resulting uncertainty among the fans. This also affects many of our artists and leads to the fact that especially the professional musicians still have a tough time living out their musical creativity and inspiring us with their art, especially on stage. Therefore, we appeal to you to buy tickets in the presale and to actively support your favorite artists! Because without music, it’s quiet, and we all want to party hard and distract ourselves a little bit from all the nasty things happening in our world.

That’s what we did with our releases, and after the last turbulent years, we were again able to present a well-balanced musical-colorful mix of the Pop, Rock and Metal genres this year. At the beginning of the year, the German Punk Rock band LAUTSTÆRKE kicked off the Alternative & Indie Charts with their album “Vom Morgen danach (Deluxe)” and promptly entered the charts at #1. WALTER SUBJECT ignited a highly explosive Alternative Rock firework with their album “Signals”, and MESENTERY set an oppressive junkie biography to music with their Death Metal album “Soulfucker”. While CPYIST created a Darkwave soundscape in Steampunk garb with “Never Neverland”, which has also just been honored with two international awards for its exceptional music video to “My Thoughts To Be”. The extraordinary Melodic Metal formation NEVARIA came back after their debut album “Finally Free” (2019) with the two new sharp-tongued Melodic Metal singles “Reckless” and “Battle Cry”, and the Symphonic Metal band AETERNITAS announced their farewell after the single release “Shadows” to return now strengthened in a new formation called AEON GODS. We are excited! In spring, CHILD OF CAESAR released their first single “Seven”, with an impressive lyric video, followed by their sinister Gothic Metal masterpiece “Spirit & Liberation”. FOUR TRIPS AHEAD defied fate with their Progressive Power Rock EP “Remnants” and unleashed their furious lyric video for their third single “Higher”. In the spirit of self-confident feminism, the young Berlin singer DEFRANZY released her pointed Pop Rap single “Die Verwandlung”, performing her upgrade to Version DEFRANZY 2Point1. In the summer, THE THREE SUM started their foray in a scary road cruiser on the dusty asphalt of the international Rock ’n’ Roll highway with wacky little horror stories and a dystopian mix of Punk Rock and Metal and stepped on the gas pedal with their explosive EP “Kingdom Fall”. Meanwhile, OVERSENSE headed to Mallorca with the songs from their latest album “Egomania” in their luggage and thrilled the fans at this year’s Full Metal Holiday, followed by the gig at Metal Hammer Paradise. Just in time for Halloween, REDNEX called out the #GladRagsDance Challenge with their new freaky party smasher “Glad Rags Jug”, and threw a boisterous backyard bash in the music video for their jolly single that truly has it all. The new Metal all-star project ERANAËS sets a sign for children’s welfare with their single “After The Rain” (feat. Margarita Monet & Derek Sherinian) and just released another softer but not less intense version of the song as a piano version (feat. Margarita Monet & Arsen Petrosyan) along with a minimalistic animated music video. At the end of the year, EXTRAMENSCH came back with their new dystopian Dark Metal single “Mein Leid für Euch” accompanied by a sinister-provocative music video and performed both sound-wise and visually a successful tightrope act between emotion and provocation, dynamic hardness and melodic finesse, somewhere between conflagration and winter depression. Finally, things are getting calmer again, and NOGAPS MUSIC invite with their heartwarming Christmas single “The Horse Beneath The Tree” into the magical Christmas wonderland, where a little girl dreams of finding a real horse under the Christmas tree.

Surely you are also wondering what will happen next year. We can already reveal a little bit. Right at the beginning, we start with DEAN M. COLLINS, who composed his Country Music masterpiece in Los Angeles and high up in the skies of this world and will release it via Dr. Music Records, as well as KAISER FRANZ, who combines honest handmade German Rock music with charming uncouth poetry. PETER WILSON, singer of the New York Progressive Power Rock band FOUR TRIPS AHEAD, has his first solo album coming up, and SKULLBOOGEY will hit their listeners with a hefty dose of Heavy Rock with their next full-length. JOHNROSE will continue in a much softer vein. After his debut “Wings” and the single “Toward The Sun”, his second album combines finest Progressive Rock with Pop elements. The fun-loving German musician Peter Steinbach is busy working on his next album with authentic and self-composed Pop Rock songs, and our management band VISIONATICA is currently entrenched in the studio to fine-tune the follow-up to “Force Of Luna” and “Enigma Fire”. Furthermore, we have a few other highly exciting projects, which we’ll keep you informed about in the coming weeks and months.

2023 can come, and we are very excited about all that awaits us; and hope you also like one or the other upcoming national and international new release of Dr. Music Records! Until then, we’re taking a break and looking forward to family, friends, and lots of Christmas treats.
