Nachdem die außergewöhnliche Melodic Metal Formation NEVARIA aus der Wagner-Stadt Bayreuth 2019 mit ihrem über Dr. Music Records erschienenen Debütalbum „Finally Free“, das auch international beachtliche Erfolge erzielte, und gefeierten Live-Shows die Szene ordentlich aufmischte, veröffentlicht sie heute, am 03.02.2022 mit „Reckless“ ihre neue Single voller kritischer Töne zum Umgang mit der Pandemie. Die inzwischen als Duo agierenden Musiker Tanja Schneider (Gesang) und Markus Spiethaler (Keyboard) führen ihre Vision von eingängigem Female Fronted Melodic Metal fort und holten sich für die Aufnahme Unterstützung von Gitarrist Kim Wölfel, der bereits am Debüt mitwirkte, sowie Daniel Unzner (Dislocated Theory; Ex-Profanity), der mit hammermäßig schnellen Fingern den Bass einspielte. Die junge, ungezügelte Metal Gitarrenarbeit in Kombination mit dynamischem Schlagzeugspiel, einem spürbar druckvollen Bass und anmutigen Keyboard-Melodien, wird dabei vom lebendigen, leuchtenden Gesang der früheren Dawn Of Destiny Sängerin komplettiert. NEVARIA haben, ohne den eingeschlagenen Pfad zu verlassen, auf erfrischende Weise ihren eigenständigen Sound mit Elementen aus der elektronischen Musik weiterentwickelt und „Reckless“ wurde, wie auch zuvor das Album von André Hofmann (Nothgard, Wolfchant, New Hate Rising) gemischt und gemastert. Die Bandfotos schoss erneut Gregor Zimmermann (Uzziel), der die beiden Musiker stilvoll ins rechte Licht rückte. Die Fokussierung auf nur noch zwei Songwriter sorgt für einen echten Schub in Sachen Kreativität und der Mix aus harten Gitarren und erfrischenden, elektronischen Vibes, über denen Tanja Schneiders imposante Stimme thront, überzeugt eindrucksvoll. Treibende Synthie-Arpeggios, die schon House bzw. Trance ähnliche Züge annehmen, werden hier mit Beats und natürlich harschen Gitarrenriffs gepaart, die für die nötige Härte sorgen. In den scharfzüngigen Songtexten verarbeitet Tanja Schneider ihre persönlichen Erfahrungen in der ohnehin schon harten Arbeit der Frühförderung von behinderten Kleinkindern, die mit dem Beginn der Pandemie im März 2020 noch einmal eine neue Dimension erreichte. Aus Solidarität mit ihrer Frontfrau entschied sich die Band damals die Kinder aus der Hochrisikogruppe zu schützen und die drei bereits gebuchten Konzerte des Monats abzusagen, noch bevor die staatlichen Maßnahmen in Kraft traten, was nicht überall auf sofortiges Verständnis stieß. Warum sich einige Menschen partout nicht an die Vorsichtsmaßnahmen halten oder deren Sinn nicht verstehen wollen, ist der Sängerin schlicht unbegreiflich und aus diesem Frust heraus entstand „Reckless“. Der Song ist aber nicht als erhobener Zeigefinger zu verstehen, sondern ist ihre persönliche Art, diese Ausnahmesituation Anfang 2020 zu reflektieren und mental zu verarbeiten. Die Bedeutung der Texte soll ‘magisch’ sein und der Devise folgen, dass der Hörer sich selbst und seine eigene Geschichte darin wiederfinden kann. Gemäß diesem Credo komponierte die Band die elf Songs auf „Finally Free“ ebenso abwechslungsreich wie intensiv und nahmen in Markus Spiethalers Soundwerkstatt den passenden Sound auf. NEVARIA process with today’s released Female Fronted Melodic Metal single “Reckless” their highly emotional experiences at the pandemic’s beginning

Having stirred up the scene in 2019 with their debut album “Finally Free” released via Dr. Music Records, which also achieved considerable international success, and acclaimed live shows, the extraordinary Melodic Metal formation NEVARIA from the Bavarian city of Bayreuth released today, on 02/03/2022, its new single “Reckless”, full of critical tones on dealing with the pandemic. Now acting as a duo, the musicians Tanja Schneider (vocals) and Markus Spiethaler (keyboards) carry on their vision of catchy Female Fronted Melodic Metal and enlisted support for the recording from guitarist Kim Wölfel, who already played on the debut, as well as Daniel Unzner (Dislocated Theory; Ex-Profanity), who recorded the bass with nimble fingers. The young, untamed Metal guitar work combined with dynamic drumming, a perceptibly powerful bass and graceful keyboard melodies, is thereby completed by the vivid, brilliant vocals of the former Dawn Of Destiny vocalist. Without leaving the chosen path, NEVARIA refreshingly evolved their independent sound with elements from electronic music and “Reckless”, like the album before, was mixed and mastered by André Hofmann (Nothgard, Wolfchant, New Hate Rising). The band photos were again shot by Gregor Zimmermann (Uzziel), who stylishly put the two musicians in the right spotlight. Focusing on just two songwriters provides a real boost in creativity and the mix of hard guitars and refreshing, electronic vibes, enthroned by Tanja Schneider’s imposing voice, is impressively convincing. Driving synth arpeggios, which already take on house or trance-like features, are paired here with beats and natural harsh guitar riffs, which provide the necessary hardness. In the sharp-tongued lyrics, Tanja Schneider processes her personal experiences in the usually already hard work of early intervention for disabled young children, which reached yet another new dimension with the pandemic’s onset in March 2020. In solidarity with their front lady, the band decided at that time to protect the high-risk group children and cancel the three already booked shows of the month, even before the government measures took effect, which did not lead to instant understanding everywhere. Why some people just won’t stick to the precautions or don’t want to understand their sense is simply beyond the singer’s comprehension and out of this frustration, “Reckless” was written. However, the song is not to be understood as a wagging finger but it is her personal way to reflect and mentally process this exceptional situation at the beginning of 2020. The unambiguous message of the new single is instead to take care of each other, be considerate and get vaccinated! Founded in 2018 by vocalist Tanja Schneider and keyboard player Markus Spiethaler, NEVARIA have already gone through different musical careers, gaining first experiences in the music business with European tours and support gigs with bands such as Xandria, Axxis, Sabaton up to various CD releases. Shortly after, the songwriting for the debut “Finally Free” began, whose lyrics deal with death and solitude, mistreatment, social cooperation, disease, love and desire, each from the affected person’s point of view. The meaning of the lyrics should be ‘magical’ and follow the motto that the listener can find himself and his own story in them. With this credo in mind, the band composed the eleven songs on “Finally Free” in a way that was as varied as it was intense and recorded the appropriate sound in Markus Spiethaler’s Soundwerkstatt. Thanks to the stylish artwork designed by Jan Yrlund from Darkgrove Design (Battle Beast, Apocalyptica, Delain), NEVARIA take the listener into cosmic spheres on their album, but also fascinate with the right mixture of Heavy Metal and fine melodies over which the voice literally floats.
