Torsten Wohlgemuth ist Mitgründer und Geschäftsführer von Dr. Music Promotion sowie Ansprechpartner für Bands, Künstler:innen und Labels in allen strategischen, organisatorischen und wirtschaftlichen Fragen. Als Chefarzt verantwortet er seit der Gründung im Jahr 2006 die Bereiche Musik-PR, Musikvertrieb, Booking, Artist Management, Musikverlag sowie Vertrags- und Business Development. Gemeinsam mit dem Team entwickelt er individuelle Behandlungspläne für Bands und Künstler:innen und begleitet sie von der ersten Diagnose bis zur langfristigen strategischen Entwicklung ihrer Karrieren.

Als gelernter Bürokaufmann (IHK) ist Torsten seit 2001 in der Musikbranche tätig. Seine Laufbahn begann als Bandmanager einer Dortmunder Rockband. Bereits früh entwickelte er ein tiefes Verständnis für die organisatorischen, wirtschaftlichen und strategischen Anforderungen professioneller Künstlerkarrieren.

Nach seiner Weiterbildung zum Musikkaufmann an der Wirtschaftsakademie am Ring in Köln gründete er 2004 das Rock und Metal Label Limited Access Records. Dort verantwortet er bis heute die administrativen und wirtschaftlichen Bereiche des Labels. Der Schwerpunkt liegt inzwischen auf der Betreuung und Auswertung des bestehenden Backkatalogs mit Veröffentlichungen von KAMIKAZE KINGS, MERCURY TIDE, 4BACKWOODS, EAT THE GUN, CONTRADICTION, SPELLBOUND DAZZLE sowie weiteren Bands.

Im Jahr 2006 wurde das Label durch die Gründung der PR-Agentur Dr. Music Promotion sowie der weiteren Fachabteilungen Dr. Music Records, Dr. Music Booking, Dr. Music Management und Dr. Music Songs kontinuierlich erweitert. Seitdem begleitet Torsten gemeinsam mit dem Team mehrere hundert Bands, Künstler:innen und Veröffentlichungen aus Deutschland sowie aus zahlreichen weiteren Ländern.

Durch seine langjährige Tätigkeit verfügt Torsten über ein weitreichendes Netzwerk in der internationalen Rock- und Metal-Szene. Seine Schwerpunkte liegen insbesondere in den Bereichen Artist Development, Booking, Vertragsverhandlungen, Label-, Vertriebs- und Verlagsangelegenheiten sowie in der strategischen Entwicklung nachhaltiger Künstlerkarrieren. Darüber hinaus koordiniert er organisatorische Abläufe und unterstützt Bands und Künstler:innen bei wichtigen geschäftlichen Entscheidungen im Musikbusiness.

Torsten und Mitinhaberin Miriam Guigueno verfolgen gemeinsam das Ziel, Bands und Künstler:innen langfristig auf ihrem Karriereweg zu begleiten. Erfolgreiche Karrieren entstehen nicht durch einzelne Glückstreffer, sondern durch eine gesunde Kombination aus Leidenschaft, Eigeninitiative, professionellen Strukturen und individuellen Strategien, die kreative Visionen mit wirtschaftlicher Stabilität verbinden. Torsten Wohlgemuth is co-founder and managing director of Dr. Music Promotion and the primary contact for bands, artists, and labels on all strategic, organizational, and business matters. As chief physician, he has overseen music PR, music distribution, booking, artist management, music publishing, and contract and business development since the company’s founding in 2006. Together with the team, he develops individual treatment plans for bands and artists, accompanying them from the first diagnosis through to the long-term strategic development of their careers.

A trained office administrator (IHK), Torsten has been active in the music industry since 2001. His career began as a band manager for a rock band from Dortmund, where he quickly developed a deep understanding of the organizational, economic, and strategic demands of professional artist careers.

After completing further training as a certified music business specialist at the Wirtschaftsakademie am Ring in Cologne, he founded the Rock and Metal label Limited Access Records in 2004. He continues to oversee the administrative and business operations of the label to this day, with the current focus on managing and exploiting the existing back catalog, which includes releases by KAMIKAZE KINGS, MERCURY TIDE, 4BACKWOODS, EAT THE GUN, CONTRADICTION, SPELLBOUND DAZZLE, and others.

In 2006, the label continued to expand with the founding of the PR agency Dr. Music Promotion and the specialist divisions Dr. Music Records, Dr. Music Booking, Dr. Music Management and Dr. Music Songs. Since then, Torsten and the team have worked with several hundred bands, artists, and releases from Germany and many other countries.

Thanks to his many years of experience, Torsten has built an extensive network within the international Rock and Metal scene. His areas of expertise include artist development, booking, contract negotiations, label, distribution, and publishing matters, as well as the strategic development of sustainable artist careers. He also coordinates operational processes and supports bands and artists in making important business decisions within the music industry.

Torsten and co-owner Miriam Guigueno share the common goal of accompanying bands and artists on their long-term career journeys. Successful careers are not built on lucky breaks but on a healthy combination of passion, initiative, professional structures, and individual strategies that blend creative visions with financial stability. That is precisely what creates a stable foundation for sustainable growth and lasting success in the music business.

Since 2015, son Nick has been enriching the spirit of the family business, bringing fresh ideas, new perspectives, and additional energy to the Dr. Music Promotion team.
