Die post-apokalyptischen Melodic Death Metal Endzeit-Cowboys ATHORN ziehen mit ihrem neuen Musikvideo zur Single „Another Day In Hell“ ins letzte Gefecht

Sechs Jahre nach ihrem Debütalbum „Phobia“ sind ATHORN nun mit der ersten Single „Another Day In Hell“ aus ihrem in zwei Wochen erscheinenden Album „Necropolis“ zurück und packen noch ein spektakuläres Musikvideo oben drauf. Feuer, Ruinen und Untote: Im Videoclip zur ersten Single des neuen Albums herrscht Endzeitstimmung, ein Wasteland-Szenario mit einer Prise Space-Western. Der Einblick in die Apokalypse passt zum Sound der fünf Musiker: Sänger Carsten Frank überzeugt mit tiefen Growls aber auch mit klarem Gesang, der Bass von Matthias Brandt prescht mit Wucht nach von. Die teils brachialen, teils melodischen Gitarrenriffs von Björn Spier und Tobias Liedke bringen noch mehr Vielfalt in den Song, und die wummernden Blastbeats von Schlagzeuger Philipp Horst machen den Song komplett. Verschiedene Metal Genres werden in diesem Song, aber auch im gesamten Album, kreativ gebündelt, so dass sich von Melodic Death bis Power Metal fast alles finden lässt.

Das Musikvideo zeigt das Ende der Zivilisation und fasst das gesamte Album zusammen. Die Bandmitglieder sind vor einem Hintergrund aus Häuserruinen zu sehen, zwischendurch zeigt sich immer wieder die düstere Wasteland-Landschaft und die Story des Videoclips erinnert an eine Mischung aus The Walking Dead und Mad Max, aber mit ganz eigenem Charme. Die „Another Day In Hell“ Produktion wurde mit spektakulären 3D-Animationen von Sänger und Regisseur Carsten Frank ausgestattet, und hebt sich deutlich von der Masse der heutigen Metalclips ab. The post-apocalyptic Melodic Death Metal end time cowboys ATHORN lead with their new music video for the single „Another Day In Hell“ into the last stand

Six years after their debut album “Phobia“, ATHORN are back with the first single „Another Day In Hell“ of their album „Necropolis“, coming out in two weeks, and add a spectacular music video on top. Fire, ruins and the undead: the first video clip for the first single of the new album prevails doomsday mood, a wasteland-scenario with a dash of western. The insight into the apokalypse matches with the sound of the five musicians: singer Carsten Frank convince with deep growls but with clear singing, too, the bass of Matthias Brandt dashes forward. The partly brachial, partly melodic guitar riffs of Björn Spier and Tobias Liedke bring even more variety to the song, and the thumping blast beats of drummer Philipp Horst complete the song. Different Metal genres are in this song, but on the whole album, too, creatively bundled, so you can find almost everything between Melodic Death and Power Metal.

The music video shows the end of the civilization and summarizes the whole album. The band members are in front of house ruins, meanwhile you can see the dark wasteland landscape and the story of the clip reminds of a mix of The Walking Dead and Mad Max, but with its own charm. The “Another Day In Hell” production was equiped with 3D animations by singer and director Carsten Frank and contrast to the masses of today’s metal clips.
