Heute, am 17.09.2021 ist für das brandneue, zweite OVERSENSE Album „Egomania“ der Vorhang gefallen und eine der vielversprechendsten Bands, die die europäische Metal Szene zu bieten hat, hält der Welt ab sofort ihr verzerrtes Spiegelbild vor. Der ein oder andere mag bemängeln, dass OVERSENSE zwischen den Stilen Hard Rock und Heavy/Power Metal hin und herspringen. Auch progressive Elemente findet man in einigen Songs (z. B. beim abschließenden „Extinction“). In meinen Augen macht gerade das den besonderen Reiz der Band aus.
PowerMetal.de (DE): Mit „Egomania“ haben OVERSENSE mich direkt eingefangen. Dannys charismatische Stimme bringt die Stimmung der einzelnen Songs überzeugend und mit Gänsehautfeeling rüber. Gut, dass der Rest der Band und die ganze Platte auch überzeugen können!

Die Geschichte von OVERSENSE beginnt 2012, als Danny Meyer und Patrick Lippert zusammen erste Songs aufnehmen und den Kontakt zu Olaf Reitmeier knüpfen. Today, on September 17, 2021, the curtain has fallen for OVERSENSE’s brand-new sophomore album “Egomania” and now one of the most emerging bands the European Metal scene has to offer holds up its distorted reflection to the world. The story of OVERSENSE begins in 2012 when Danny Meyer and Patrick Lippert record their first songs together and make contact with Olaf Reitmeier. In the following years, the EP “Dreamcatcher” was released, followed by the album “The Storyteller” in 2017 via Dr. Music Records, with which the former line-up gathered excellent international reviews. The following winter, Jassy J., whose YouTube channel JJ’s One Girl Band now has nearly 273.000 fans around the world, is confirmed as a permanent band member. After the tour with Doro in winter 2018, the preparations for the second album start. On “Egomania” OVERSENSE manage to refine the strengths of the debut significantly and to reach the next level sound-wise. The album is a perfect Modern Melodic Metal masterpiece, with which the four musicians will win over both the young metalheads and the veterans of the scene.
