CROWORD präsentieren neue Single und Video-Teaser zum Titeltrack der kommenden Melodic Death Metal EP „Crimson Gaze“
Nach der Ankündigung ihrer neuen wuchtigen Melodic Death Metal EP „Crimson Gaze“ für den 03.09.2021 über NRT-Records, präsentieren CROWORD nun den Teaser zum Titeltrack, der diesen Donnerstag (01. Juli 2021) als erste Single samt Live-Video veröffentlicht wird. Getragen von melodischen und präzise gesetzten Gitarren beschreibt der Song mit harschen Vocals wie Angst und Hass der blanken Brutalität weichen und die Grenze zur Vernunft einreißt. Die Österreicher, bestehend aus Mastermind und Bassist Lukas Rappitsch, Johannes Eder (Schlagzeug), Adrian Schattovits (Vocals), Julian Schattovits und Dino Sulic (Gitarren), geben mit ihrem stark vom Göteborger Death Metal der 1990er Jahre inspirierten intensiven Sound der Szene einen frischen Impuls. Mit Einflüssen aus Rock, Jazz und klassischer Musik lassen CROWORD eine einzigartige Melodic Death Metal Symphonie erschallen. Die Wiener Metalheads machen bereits seit einigen Jahren mit ihrem brachialen und technisch ausgefeilten Melodic Death Metal auf sich aufmerksam. Die neue EP besteht aus vier brandneuen Songs, die von Werken von Malern wie Egon Schiele und Arnold Böcklin, die sich vor gut 100 Jahren mit den Abgründen und Höhen der menschlichen Natur auseinandersetzen, inspiriert ist. Aufgenommen wurde der Vorbote für das 2022 geplante zweite Album im österreichischen Kochplatte Studio und den Elophos Hill Studios. Für den Mix der EP ist Andreas Koch zuständig und für das Mastering konnte kein Geringerer als Jens Bogren (Fascination Street Studios) gewonnen werden, der schon mit Opeth, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy uvm. arbeitete. Das Musikvideo zum Titelsong gibt gleichzeitig einen perfekten Ausblick auf die der via geheimen Link im CD-Booklet als Bonus zugänglichen Live-Session, die mit roher Emotion und einer Menge schweißtreibender Leidenschaft in den Räumlichkeiten der österreichischen Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Wien entstand. Hier wird der CD-Käufer mit elf zusätzlichen Songs der Live-Session „Live Is More Than Just Breathing“ belohnt, die neben den Live-Versionen der vier neuen Songs auch Best-of Tracks der letzten Jahre enthält.
Am 10.06.2021 waren CROWORD als Special Guest im von GrazConnected in Partnerschaft mit NRT-Records präsentierten Death Metal Spezial mit einem Live-Konzert aus der Scene Wien zu sehen. CROWORD present new single and video teaser for the title track of their upcoming Melodic Death Metal EP “Crimson Gaze”
After the announcement of their new massive Melodic Death Metal EP “Crimson Gaze” for September 03, 2021, via NRT-Records, CROWORD now present the teaser for the title track, which will be released this Thursday (July 01, 2021) as the first single accompanied by a live video. Backed by melodic and precisely placed guitars, the song with harsh vocals describes how fear and hatred give way to sheer brutality and the border of sanity tears. The Austrians, consisting of mastermind and bass player Lukas Rappitsch, Johannes Eder (drums), Adrian Schattovits (vocals), Julian Schattovits and Dino Sulic (guitars), give a fresh impulse to the scene with their intense sound strongly inspired by the Gothenburg Death Metal of the 1990s. With influences from Rock, Jazz and Classical music, CROWORD let a unique Melodic Death Metal symphony resound. The Viennese metalheads have been attracting attention for several years now with their brute and technically sophisticated Melodic Death Metal. The new EP consists of four brand-new songs inspired by the works of painters such as Egon Schiele and Arnold Böcklin, who dealt with the abysses and peaks of human nature about 100 years ago. The harbinger of the second album planned for 2022 has been recorded at the Austrian Kochplatte Studio and Elophos Hill Studios. Andreas Koch has been responsible for the mix of the EP and none other than Jens Bogren (Fascination Street Studios), who already worked with Opeth, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy and many others, has been won over for the mastering. The music video for the title track also gives a perfect preview to the live session, accessible via secret link in the CD booklet as a bonus, which was produced with raw emotion and a lot of sweaty passion in the premises of the Austrian University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Here, the CD buyer is rewarded with eleven additional songs from the live session “Live Is More Than Just Breathing”, which contains live versions of the four new songs and also comes with the last years’ best-of tracks.

Founded in 2012 in Styria, CROWORD put themselves in the public spotlight for the first time in 2016 with their demo EP “Manifest Of Mortal Sickness” and the lyric video for the title track, which was recognized with great appreciation in the international Metal scene.
