ATHORN geben Cover und Trackliste ihres neuen post-apokalyptischen Melodic Death Metal Konzeptalbums „Necropolis“ bekannt

Vor einigen Wochen haben wir bereits ATHORNs episches Comeback-Album „Necropolis“ an dieser Stelle angekündigt. Der Longplayer mit insgesamt elf Songs vermittelt dem Zuhörer direkt eine bildliche Vorstellung davon, was passieren würde, wenn plötzlich ein Meteorit auf der Erde einschlagen und die Menschheit in ein Volk von Untoten verwandeln würde. Das Ende der menschlichen Zivilisation löst auf dem Planeten totales Chaos aus und versetzt ihn in apokalyptische Zustände. Um genau dieses Wasteland-Szenario deutlicher darzustellen, haben die Jungs von ATHORN so ziemlich jeden Stil zwischen Melodic Death und Power Metal in ihren brodelnden Songwriting-Topf geworfen und so die post-apokalyptische Ruinenstadt „Necropolis“ als fantastisches Resultat erschaffen. Nun freuen wir uns, die Tracklist und das Cover des am 16.09.2016 über Dr. Music Records erscheinenden Albums bekannt zugeben:

Das stimmungsvolle Cover-Artwork, spektakulär von Multitalent und Sänger Carsten Frank in Szene gesetzt, zeigt ein Meer von Totenschädeln im Vordergrund einer desolaten Geisterstadt in der Ferne und verleiht so dem apokalyptischen Konzept des Albums einen bemerkenswert intensiven Ausdruck. Man kann die aufsteigende Gänsehaut beim ersten Betrachten des Covers förmlich mit beobachten. Aber überzeugt euch selbst davon!

„Necropolis“, das komplett in Eigenregie im Waveland Productions Studio von Sänger Carsten Frank produziert wurde, erscheint sowohl als Digipak mit 12-seitigem Booklet im Handel und bei allen bekannten digitalen Streaming-Diensten und Download-Stores. Dazu gibt es auch eine streng limitierte Special Edition in einer Metallbox inklusive einiger besonderer Goodies, die es aber nur bei Konzerten und auf der Band-Website zu kaufen geben wird. ATHORN reveal cover and tracklist for their new post-apocalyptic Melodic Death Metal concept album “Necropolis“

A few weeks ago we already announced ATHORN’s epic comeback album “Necropolis“ in this post. The longplayer with 11 songs immediately conveys to the listener a detailed illustration of what would happen if a meteorite suddenly hit our planet and turned humankind into a nation of zombies. The end of human civilization causes a complete chaos on the planet and puts it into an apocalyptic state. In order to portray this exact wasteland scenario more precisely, the members of ATHORN have thrown pretty much every style between Melodic Death and Power Metal into their seething songwriting pot and created the post-apocalyptic ruined city “Necropolis“ as a fantastic result. Now, we are pleased to reveal the tracklist and cover of the album which will be released on 16.09.2016 through Dr. Music Records:

The atmospheric artwork, created in a spectacular way by multi-talent and vocalist Carsten Frank, shows a sea of skulls in front of a desolate ghost town in the distance and provides the concept of the album with a remarkably intense expression. You can practically watch the goose bumps rise on your skin while viewing the cover for the first time. But see for yourselves!

“Necropolis“ was produced completely autonomously in vocalist Carsten Frank’s Waveland Productions Studio and will be available as digipak with a 12-page booklet in stores, through notable streaming services and download stores. In addition to that, a strongly limited special edition metal box including rare goodies will only be available at live shows or on the band website. Pre-orders will be possible soon.
