Nach mehr als zehn Jahren ist es nun endlich so weit: Das Konzeptalbum „Master Of Disguise“ von BRAINDANCE erblickt das Licht der modernen Welt – und das Warten hat sich gelohnt. Das Progressive Darkwave Urgestein meldet sich mit einem gewaltigen, kunstvollen Epos aus alten Zeiten zurück, der seine Hörer geradezu in eine Parallelwelt wie die der Altägypter und Maya katapultiert. Am 26.02.2016 erscheint das Album der New Yorker mit seinem umfangreichen Artwork über Dr. Music Records.

Egal ob Goth, EBM oder Progressive Metal – BRAINDANCE haben sich aus den besten Teilen ihr eigenes Fundament für ihr unabhängiges Imperium erschaffen. Seit 1992 ist die Formation um Sänger Sebastian Elliot und Multitalent Vora Vor, die als Herrscherin des Sounds Gitarre, Keyboard und Produktion übernimmt, mit ihrer einzigartigen Musik in Sachen EBM & Goth unterwegs und hat sich so zu einer unverzichtbaren Größe in der Szene entwickelt. Auch deshalb haben sie bei „Master Of Disguise“ nichts dem Zufall überlassen und mit viel Liebe zum Detail ein aufwändiges Konzept erarbeitet. Vor allem Sebastian Elliot hat viel Herzblut in die Erforschung der alten Kulturen der Ägypter und Maya gesteckt, um so ein Epos zu erschaffen, das seinesgleichen sucht. Das Album erzählt die Geschichte eines Herrschers der Welt, der in Kontakt mit dem Jenseits tritt. Diese Begegnung hat jedoch schwerwiegende Folgen und der Monarch muss sich, stets verfolgt von seiner Vergangenheit und unsicher der Zukunft gegenüber, auf die Suche nach seiner Identität machen. Die tiefe, unverkennbare Stimme von Elliot, vermischt mit den düsteren Klängen der Musik, bietet eine perfekte Soundkulisse für die geheimnisvolle Geschichte aus der alten Welt. Hier kann sich keiner dem Bann des Mystischen entziehen.

After more than ten years, it is finally happening: BRAINDANCEs conceptual album “Master Of Disguise” sees the light of day – and it was worth the wait. The Progressive Darkwave veterans return with an enormous, artful epic about ancient times, which virtually catapults its audience into a parallel world similar to the age of ancient Egyptians and Mayas. On 26th February 2016 the New York band’s album will be released by Dr. Music Records including an extensive artwork.

May it be Goth, EBM or Progressive Metal – BRAINDANCE built the base of their very own independent empire by taking the best elements from their favourite genres. Singer Sebastian Elliot and all-rounder Vora Vor, who – as the sound’s empress – takes charge of guitar, keyboard and production, have been active in the EBM & Goth music scene since 1992 and have, therefore, evolved into indispensable masters of their craft. That is why they did not leave anything to chance on “Master Of Disguise” and developed an elaborate concept full of passion for detail. It is Sebastian Elliot in particular who, with much blood, sweat and tears, scrutinised the ancient Egyptians’ and Mayas’ cultures in order to create an epic which was supposed to be without equal. The album tells a story of a ruler of this world who makes contact with the netherworld. This encounter, however, entails serious consequences for the monarch. Being haunted by his past and constantly insecure about what the future holds, he begins to search for his identity. Elliot’s deep, distinctive voice mingled with the music’s gloomy sounds provides the perfect sound backdrop for this mysterious story from the Old World. Hardly anyone will be able to resist this fascinating myth.
