Four Trips Ahead Sänger PETER WILSON erweitert seine Zusammenarbeit mit Dr. Music Records und kündigt sein kraftvolles Modern Hardrock Solodebüt „Freedom’s Door“ für den 05. April 2024 über das deutsche Label an. Die Entstehungszeit des Albums war für den New Yorker mit vielen Höhen und Tiefen verbunden. Zum einen verlor er in dieser Zeit seine beiden Eltern und wurde aber auch Vater eines Sohnes. Dazu beeinflusste den Musiker beim Schreiben und Komponieren der Songs auch der Wahnsinn der Pandemie in Kombination mit all den politischen Spannungen in den USA und auf der ganzen Welt. Für ihn selbst war es eine Zeit, in der er tief in sich gehen und seine Seele ohne Angst oder Reue offenbaren konnte. PETER WILSON setzte bei der Produktion seiner Songs auf talentierte Musiker aus der Gegend rund um New York City, um älteres Material zu vollenden und neue Songs zu schreiben. „Freedom’s Door“ wurde, wie schon das Four Trips Ahead Album zuvor, von Nik Chinboukas (u. a. Metal Allegiance, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Alex Skolnick Trio) produziert, vom Grammy- und Emmy-Preisträger Nick Cipriano (u. a. Dream Theater, Twisted Sister, Erasure) gemischt sowie vom legendären Mastering Engineer Roger Lian (u. a. Rush, Muse, Slayer, Pantera, Coheed and Cambria) veredelt. Das markante Artwork des Albums sowie der drei kommenden Singles entstanden in Zusammenarbeit mit Thomas Ewerhard, der für seine Cover von Bands wie Avantasia, Spock’s Beard oder Sons Of Apollo bekannt ist. Auf „Freedom’s Door“ heißt PETER WILSON seine Hörer mit seinem einzigartigen, energiegeladenen Progressive Power Rock willkommen und überzeugt sie mit seinem dynamischen Stimmumfang, einem ausgeprägten Gespür für eingängige Melodien sowie fesselnden Lyrics. Als erste Singleauskopplung aus „Freedom’s Door“ erscheint am 23. November 2023 der Opener „Release“ zusammen mit einem fulminanten Lyric-Video des brillanten Videografen Wayne Joyner (u. a. Die Anfänge von PETER WILSONs Hauptband Four Trips Ahead gehen auf das Jahr 2003 zurück, als sich die erfahrenen New Yorker Musiker erstmals auf der Suche nach einem neuen kreativen Betätigungsfeld trafen. Schon bald brachte das Quartett seine energiegeladene Musik an die US-Ostküste und weiter in die gesamten Vereinigten Staaten. Auch in Europa setzten sie mit Interviews und Samplerbeiträgen in namhaften Rockmagazinen zum Album „…And The Fire Within“ und der 2022er EP „Remnants“ erste Duftmarken, auf denen PETER WILSON nun mit „Freedom’s Door“ aufsetzen kann. An der Gitarre begleiten ihn Glenn Sherman und Phill Ortiz als auch Harold Skeetes (u. a. Ad Astra) am Bass. Four Trips Ahead vocalist PETER WILSON extends his collaboration with Dr. Music Records and announces the release of his powerful Modern Hard Rock solo debut “Freedom’s Door” on April 05, 2024, via the German record label. The album’s making has been filled with many ups and downs for the New York artist. On the one hand, he lost both his parents during this time and became a son’s father. Moreover, while writing and composing the songs, the musician was also influenced by the madness of the pandemic in combination with all the political tensions in the USA and around the rest of the world. For himself, it was a time to dig down deep and bare his soul without fear or regret. PETER WILSON relied on talented musicians from the NYC area to flesh out older material and to write new songs. “Freedom’s Door”, like the Four Trips Ahead album before it, was produced by Nik Chinboukas (i.a. Metal Allegiance, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Alex Skolnick Trio), mixed by Grammy and Emmy Award-winning engineer Nick Cipriano (i.a. Dream Theater, Twisted Sister, Erasure), and refined by legendary mastering engineer Roger Lian (i.a. Rush, Muse, Slayer, Pantera, Coheed and Cambria). The striking cover artwork for the album and the three upcoming singles were created in collaboration with Thomas Ewerhard, known for his artwork for bands such as Avantasia, Spock’s Beard, and Sons Of Apollo. PETER WILSON’s main band, Four Trips Ahead, traces its beginnings back to 2003 when the experienced New York musicians first met in search of a new creative outlet. Soon, the quartet was taking their energetic music to the U.S. East Coast and throughout the United States. In Europe, too, they set first scent marks with interviews and sampler contributions in renowned Rock magazines to the album “…And The Fire Within” and the 2022 EP “Remnants”, on which PETER WILSON can now build with “Freedom’s Door”. He is joined by both guitarists Glenn Sherman and Phill Ortiz and Harold Skeetes (i.a. Ad Astra) on bass. As with his band, Four Trips Ahead, the drums were performed by Ken Candelas and also trusted studio stalwart Nick Cipriano. Glen and Harold are two of Peter’s oldest and dearest friends who are incredible musicians combining their skills with soul to make every record they are on special. Out of this brilliant harmony, the recordings of the twelve new songs were produced in the Spin Recording Studios in Long Island City in NYC, featuring fresh, concentrated energy.
