Die Alternative Metal Pioniere EXILIA mit explosiven Album „Heroes And Dust“ und der „Unleashed XX“ Special Edition zum 20-jährigen Jubiläum weiterhin auf Erfolgskurs

Angeführt von der charismatischen und histrionischen Präsenz von Masha Mysmane und ihrer kraftvollen, einzigartigen Sopranstimme, sind EXILIA aktuell mit ihrem Album „Heroes And Dust“ sowie der am 24. Mai 2024 erschienenen Special Edition samt mehrerer Bonustracks zum 20. Jubiläum von „Unleashed“ auf Tour. Beide Alben wurden ebenfalls von Jörg Umbreit in den Principal Studios (u. a. Donots, Broilers, In Extremo) produziert. Die Band aus der pulsierenden Metropole Mailand verkörpert seit zwei Dekaden die authentische Essenz des Hardcore im Alternative Metal Genre, wovon sich Rock und Metal Fans bei ihren zahlreichen internationalen Tourneen mit Rockstars wie Rammstein, Oomph, In Extremo, Paradise Lost sowie den US-Shows als Support von Drowning Pool oder Buckcherry eindrucksvoll überzeugen konnten. EXILIAs Musik sprengte von Beginn an die Grenzen, indem sie Metal Riffs, schnelle Beats, Spoken Words und poetischen Tiefgang mit Melodien verwoben, die zu unvergesslichen Hymnen wurden. Ihren unverwechselbaren Sound haben die vier Musiker sorgfältig ausgearbeitet und für ihre elektrisierende Bühnenpräsenz und explosiven Live-Auftritte sind sie weltweit bestens bekannt. Mit der Single „I Am God“ samt Musikvideo bereitete die Band den Weg für die Veröffentlichung von „Heroes And Dust“ vor und zum Ende der Pandemie kehrte sie auch triumphal auf die Bühne zurück. EXILIA spielten zuletzt auf großen Festivals wie u. a. dem Lake Rock, Rock um zu helfen, Aaargh Festival oder dem Sinner Rock und begaben sich auf eine ausgedehnte Headliner-Tour durch Europa.

Im Jahr 2000 erregten EXILIA mit ihrem Debütalbum „Rightside Up“ schnell die Aufmerksamkeit von MTV und wurden 2003 mit dem Best European Newcomer Award ausgezeichnet, ein Beweis für den großen Erfolg des Albums. EXILIAs Erfahrungen auf der Bühne mit Bands wie HIM, Therapy? und The Rollins Band inspirierten den Sound und führten zur mächtigen „Underdog“ EP, die über GUN/Supersonic veröffentlicht wurde. Diese erhielt überschwängliche Kritiken und ebnete den Weg für hochkarätige Europatourneen mit Größen wie In Extremo und Paradise Lost. Die Klangattacke des zweiten Albums „Unleashed“, das Platz 38 der deutschen Charts erreichte, bewies einmal mehr die außergewöhnliche Klasse der Senkrechtstarter. Legendäre Hits wie „Stop Playing God“, „Coincidence“ oder „Can’t Break Me Down“ zeigen eine Mischung aus Kettensägen-Riffs und Whiskey-getränktem Gesang, die fesselte und immer noch nachhallt. Ihr 2006er-Album „Nobody Excluded“ ist Teil des Soundtracks der beliebten US-Fernsehserie ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. Der Hit „Kill Me“ entstand zudem in Zusammenarbeit mit Amnesty International und beinhaltete ein Musikvideo, das die Menschenrechtsproblematik rund um Guantánamo beleuchtet. Das dritte Album „My Own Army“ wurde 2008 von Dave Chavarri (u. a. Soulfly, Ill Niño, Pro-Pain) produziert und enthüllte einen ausgereiften und komplexen Sound, wobei die für EXILIA typische Vitalität der Riffs erhalten blieb. Das faszinierende fünfte Album „Decode“ erschien 2012 und führte zu ausgedehnten US-Tourneen, einschließlich eines Auftritts auf dem renommierten SXSW-Festival. Mit „Purity“ festigte 2015 EXILIAs Position im Herzen der europäischen Metal Szene und wurde mit Mustasch auf Tour gefeiert. „Feel The Fire“, der Opener und zugleich die erste Single des neuen Albums „Heroes And Dust“ handelt von den Momenten, in denen wir uns allein fühlen und nach einem Grund suchen, der unseren Geist in Flammen hält und und sorgte bereits während der Aufnahmen für bemerkenswertes Faninteresse. Mit den weiteren Auskopplungen „Not The End Of The World“, einem Aufruf, auch in schwierigen Zeiten aufzustehen und Selbstvertrauen zu haben, der beeindruckenden Interpretation des The Weeknd Hits „Blinding Lights“, sowie „Hypnotized“, der sich um eine psychologische Erfahrung in toxischen Liebesbeziehungen dreht und „Supernova“ weckten die Italiener die Vorfreude auf das neue Album. Letztlich wurde es am 21. April 2023 auf die Welt losgelassen, begleitet von der überzeugenden Single „In The Afterglow“ samt Musikvideo. Inspiriert von Metallicas „Sad But True“ handelt dieser Track von den Herausforderungen des Lebens und der Notwendigkeit, auch schmerzhafte Wahrheiten zu akzeptieren.

Led by the charismatic and histrionic presence of Masha Mysmane and her powerful, unique soprano voice, EXILIA are on tour with their album “Heroes And Dust” and the special edition released on 24 May 2024, featuring several bonus tracks to celebrate the 20th anniversary of “Unleashed”. Both albums were also produced by Jörg Umbreit at Principal Studios (i.a. Donots, Broilers, In Extremo). The band from the vibrant metropolis of Milan has been embodying the authentic essence of Hardcore in the Alternative Metal genre for two decades, which Rock and Metal fans could impressively convince themselves of during their numerous international tours with Rock stars such as Rammstein, Oomph, In Extremo, Paradise Lost and the U.S. shows as support for Drowning Pool or Buckcherry. EXILIA’s music broke boundaries right from the start, weaving Metal riffs, fast beats, spoken words and poetic profundity with melodies that became unforgettable hymns. The four musicians have carefully crafted their distinctive sound, and they are best known worldwide for their electrifying stage presence and explosive live performances. With the single “I Am God” and its music video, the band paved the way for the release of “Heroes And Dust”, and they made a triumphant return to the stage at the end of the pandemic. The intriguing fifth album “Decode” was released in 2012, leading to extensive U.S. touring, including an appearance at the prestigious SXSW festival. 2015’s “Purity” solidified EXILIA’s position at the heart of the European Metal scene and was celebrated on tour with Mustasch. “Feel The Fire”, the opener and, at the same time, the first single of the new album “Heroes And Dust”, is about the moments when we feel alone and are looking for a reason to keep our spirit on fire and caused remarkable fan interest already during the recording. With the other singles “Not The End Of The World”, a call to stand up and have self-belief even in tough times, the impressive interpretation of The Weeknd’s hit “Blinding Lights”, as well as “Hypnotized”, which is about a psychological experience in toxic love relationships, and “Supernova”, the Italians awakened the anticipation for the new album. Finally, it was unleashed to the world on 04/21/2023, accompanied by the strong single “In The Afterglow” and its music video. Inspired by Metallica’s “Sad But True”, this track deals with life’s challenges and the need to accept even painful truths.
