Wenige Wochen vor der Veröffentlichung von „Spirit & Liberation“ gewähren CHILD OF CAESAR heute, am 11.08.2022 mit der neuen Single „San Francisco“, einer melancholisch-doomigen Gothic Metal Version von Scott Mackenzies Kultsong aus der Hippie-Ära, einen weiteren Einblick in das neue vielschichtige Album. Hierzu hat der englische Videokünstler Andy Pilkington von Very Metal Art (Rotting Christ, Skindred, Visionatica) ein atmosphärisch bedrückendes Lyric-Video produziert, das dem Song die ideale visuelle Dimension verschafft, um dem am 26.08.2022 erscheinenden Album noch einmal Aufmerksamkeit zu besorgen. Für den sinistren Nachfolger des 2015er-Albums „Love In Black“ ist Mastermind und Gitarrist André Marcussen mit seinem Projekt aus dem Schatten der Vergangenheit herausgetreten und hat mit dem aktuellen Line-up elf Tracks aufgenommen, die am 26.08.2022 weltweit über Dr. Music Records auf CD und digital erscheinen werden. Die Aufnahme und der Mix des Albums erfolgten im Tones & Tunes Studio von Gitarrist Christopher F. Kassad und für das Mastering vertrauten die Musiker erneut auf Mika Jussila vom Finnvox Studio (Amorphis, Solstafir, Nightwish). Die Songs von CHILD OF CAESAR sind ein gleichermaßen finsterer Ohrenschmaus für Gothic Fans und Metalheads, die bei Tiamat die Wildheit der frühen Werke vermissen, dabei Satyricon schätzen und sich den punkigen Bad Religion Vibes nicht verwehren. Einen ersten Einblick gewährte die Band bereits Anfang 2021 mit dem leider prophetischen Anti-Kriegs Lyric-Video zu „Your Eyes On Me“, das mit martialischen Bildsequenzen schockiert. Mit der Single „Seven“ gingen CHILD OF CAESAR im Frühjahr einen Schritt weiter und veröffentlichten ein bildgewaltig animierten Clip, der die Lyrics in einem trübsinnig technokratischen Moloch illustriert, der Freiheit und Menschlichkeit unterdrückt. Mit der vorherigen Single schalteten CHILD OF CAESAR in Sachen Härte und wilder Angriffslust aufs Gaspedal und zelebrierten die letzten Sekunden vor dem „Exitus“ in morbider Wut mit einer schweißtreibenden Live-Performance im Musikvideo. CHILD OF CAESARs heutige, dritte Single „San Francisco“ entspringt dem Jahr 1967, als der legendäre Song, der die kalifornische Stadt am Pazifik und die aufkeimende Hippie-Kultur glorifiziert, erstmals erschien. A few weeks before the release of “Spirit & Liberation”, CHILD OF CAESAR grant today, on August 11, 2022, another insight into the new multi-faceted album with the new single “San Francisco”, a melancholic-doomy Gothic Metal version of Scott Mackenzie’s cult song from the hippie era. For this, the English video artist Andy Pilkington of Very Metal Art (Rotting Christ, Skindred, Visionatica) has produced an atmospheric, oppressive lyric video, which provides the song with the ideal visual dimension to get the album, to be released on 08/26/2022, some more attention. For the sinister follow-up to 2015’s album “Love In Black”, mastermind and guitarist André Marcussen has stepped out of the shadows of the past with his project and recorded the eleven songs with the current line-up, which will be released worldwide on CD and digitally on August 26, 2022, via Dr. Music Records. The recording and mixing of the album were done at guitarist Christopher F. Kassad’s Tones & Tunes Studio, and for the mastering, the musicians once again entrusted Mika Jussila of Finnvox Studio (Amorphis, Solstafir, Nightwish). The songs of CHILD OF CAESAR are an equally sinister feast for the ears of Goth fans and metalheads who miss the ferocity of Tiamat’s early records while appreciating Satyricon and not denying themselves the punky Bad Religion vibes. The band already provided a first glimpse at the beginning of 2021 with the unfortunately prophetic anti-war lyric video for “Your Eyes On Me”, which shocks with martial image sequences. With the single “Seven” CHILD OF CAESAR went a step further in spring and released a visually stunning animated clip illustrating the lyrics in a doleful technocratic juggernaut that suppresses freedom and humanity. With the previous single, CHILD OF CAESAR put the pedal to the metal in terms of hardness and wild aggressiveness, celebrating the last seconds before the “Exitus” in morbid rage with a sweaty live performance in the music video.
