Die Wiener Melodic Death Metal Band CROWORD macht bereits seit einigen Jahren mit ihrem brachialen und technisch ausgefeilten Melodic Death Metal auf sich aufmerksam und hat der Szene mit ihren beiden vorab veröffentlichen Singles, dem kompromisslosen Titeltrack „Crimson Gaze“ sowie dem gesellschaftskritischen „Secession (Where All The Reasons Are Lost)“ bereits einen frischen Impuls gegeben. Nun folgt die neue 4-Track-EP „Crimson Gaze“ mit der die aufstrebenden österreichischen Musiker Adrian Schattovits (Vocals), Julian Schattovits und Dino Sulic (Gitarren), Lukas Rappitsch (Bass) und Johannes Eder (Schlagzeug) eine großartige und wuchtige Melodic Death Metal Symphonie erschallen lassen. Das neue Werk erscheint heute, am 03.09.2021 über NRT-Records und beinhaltet in der Digipak-Version als besonderen Gimmick, das via Geheimlink im Booklet zugänglich ist, die Live-Session „Live Is More Than Just Breathing“ mit der der CD-Käufer mit elf zusätzlichen Songs belohnt wird. Dieses Konzert enthält neben den Live-Versionen der vier neuen Songs auch Best-of Tracks ihrer beiden bisherigen Veröffentlichungen, dargeboten mit roher Emotion und einer Menge schweißtreibender Leidenschaft in den Räumlichkeiten der österreichischen Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Wien. Diese spiegeln perfekt den intensiven Sound der Band um Mastermind Lukas Rappitsch wider, welcher stark von der Göteborger Death Metal Szene der 1990er Jahre inspiriert wurde und dabei mit Einflüssen aus Rock, Jazz und klassischer Musik zu einer einzigartigen Mischung verschmilzt. Aufgenommen wurde der Vorbote für das 2022 geplante zweite Album im österreichischen Kochplatte Studio und den Elophos Hill Studios. Für den Mix der EP ist Andreas Koch zuständig und für das Mastering konnte kein Geringerer als Jens Bogren (Fascination Street Studios) gewonnen werden, der schon mit Opeth, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy uvm. arbeitete. Die Songs sind inhaltlich von Malern wie Egon Schiele und Arnold Böcklin inspiriert, die sich vor gut 100 Jahren mit den Abgründen und Höhen der menschlichen Natur auseinandersetzen. CROWORD release today their socio-critical and virtuosic Melodic Death Metal EP “Crimson Gaze” along with exclusive bonus live session

The Viennese Melodic Death Metal band CROWORD has been attracting attention with their brute and technically sophisticated Melodic Death Metal for several years now and has already given a fresh impulse to the scene with their two pre-released singles, the uncompromising title track “Crimson Gaze” as well as the socio-critical “Secession (Where All The Reasons Are Lost)”. Now the new 4 track EP “Crimson Gaze” follows with which the up-and-coming Austrian musicians Adrian Schattovits (vocals), Julian Schattovits and Dino Sulic (guitars), Lukas Rappitsch (bass) and Johannes Eder (drums) let a great and massive Melodic Death Metal symphony resound. The new opus has been released today, on September 3, 2021, via NRT-Records and includes in the Digipak version as a special gimmick, accessible via a secret link in the booklet, the live session “Live Is More Than Just Breathing”, rewarding the CD buyer with eleven additional songs. This concert features live versions of the four new songs and also comes with the last years’ best-of tracks from their two previous releases, performed with raw emotion and a lot of sweaty passion in the premises of the Austrian University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. These perfectly reflect the intense sound of the band around mastermind Lukas Rappitsch, which was strongly inspired by the Gothenburg Death Metal scene of the 1990s, merging with influences from Rock, Jazz and Classical music to create a unique blend. The harbinger of the second album planned for 2022 has been recorded at the Austrian Kochplatte Studio and Elophos Hill Studios. Andreas Koch has been responsible for the mix of the EP and none other than Jens Bogren (Fascination Street Studios), who already worked with Opeth, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy and many others, has been won over for the mastering. The songs are inspired by painters such as Egon Schiele and Arnold Böcklin, who dealt with the abysses and peaks of human nature about 100 years ago. Founded in 2012 in Styria, CROWORD put themselves in the public spotlight for the first time in 2016 with their demo EP “Manifest Of Mortal Sickness” and the lyric video for the title track, which was recognized with great appreciation in the international Metal scene. About a year later, CROWORD released their first album “The Great Beyond”, which presented a band that proved even more authenticity, technical finesse, power and depth compared to their debut. With their new EP and the accompanying live session, the Austrians will once again show the world what good Melodic Death Metal sounds like.
