Blues Rock Legende BEN GRANFELT beweist mit dem Musikvideo zum Song „My Soul To You“ aus dem gleichnamigen Album, welches am 22.06.2018 über A1 Records in die Läden kommt, dass er selbst nach 15 Solo-Alben noch besser wird. BEN GRANFELT liefert, zusammen mit seinen langjährigen Wegbegleitern Masa Maijanen und Produzent Okko Laru an Bass und Schlagzeug, ein Album mit kraftvollen Texten, fesselnden Melodien und starken Gitarrenthemen ab, das mit seinem frischen Sound aus tiefsten Herzen kommt. Schon seit längerem kann sich BEN GRANFELT als Altmeister der Rockmusik bezeichnen. Seit nun mehr 34 Jahren ist er als professioneller Gitarrist unterwegs und hat dabei mit Bands wie den Gringos Locos, Leningrad Cowboys, Wishbone Ash und Los Bastardos Finlandeses große internationale Erfolge feiern können. Parallel dazu hat er eine umfangreiche Solokarriere am laufen, die bereits 15 Meisterwerke zählt und ab Juni um ein weiteres Studioalbum ergänzt wird. Auf der neuen Scheibe erweitert BEN GRANFELT sein Repertoire um gleich mehrere neue Gitarren, die für einen leicht veränderten, aber umso interessanteren Sound sorgen, sowie den erstmaligen Einsatz von Gastsängern. So wird er gleich zweifach von seiner Frau Jasmine Wynants-Granfelt auf dem PJ Harvey-Cover „This Is Love“ und „Fuel To Burn“ ergänzt und von Bryn Jones auf dem Track „My Heroine“ unterstützt, die beide mit ihren signifikanten Stimmen die Songs um mehrere Ebenen bereichern. Sein chirurgisch-präzises Gitarrenspiel, das sich gleichzeitig reichlich Raum und Zeit für Atmosphäre nimmt, ist gepaart mit seiner feinen Stimme ein wahrer Ohrenschmaus, der definitiv Anerkennung ernten wird.

BEN GRANFELT can already call himself an institution of Rock music for a long time. He has been on the road as a professional guitarist for more than 34 years and has enjoyed great international success with bands such as the Gringos Locos, Leningrad Cowboys, Wishbone Ash and Los Bastardos Finlandeses. On the new album, BEN GRANFELT expands his usual repertoire with several new guitars, which provide a slightly modified but all the more interesting sound, as well as the first-time use of guest singers. He is complemented twice by his wife Jasmine Wynants-Granfelt on the PJ Harvey cover “This Is Love” plus “Fuel To Burn” and is supported by Bryn Jones on the track “My Heroine”, both of whom enrich the songs with their significant voices on several levels.
