IAMAlina – so der Bühnenname der in Rom lebenden rumänischen Singer/Songwriterin Alina Chelaru. Sowohl in ihrer Heimat Rumänien, wo sie für den dortigen Superstar Angela Similea eröffnet hat, als auch in Italien hat sich die vielseitige Musikerin bereits fest in der Musiklandschaft etabliert. Nach zahlreichen gefeierten Konzerten und TV-Auftritten in Italien macht sich die Sängerin mit knapp 40.000 Facebook-Fans im Rücken nun auf auch im Rest Europas Fuß zu fassen. Mit ihrem großartigen vielschichtigen Album „Alina“ wird ihr das sicherlich auch gelingen. Mit dem Projekt IAMAlina schwimmt sich die aus der rumänischen Stadt Focsani stammende Künstlerin endlich kreativ und selbstbestimmt frei. Gemeinsam mit dem Produzenten Antonio Matta Vazza hat Alina Chelaru ein sehr abwechslungsreiches Album produziert, dass sich schwer in eine einzelne Schublade stecken lässt. Sehr viele unterschiedliche Instrumente, Einflüsse und Genres sind in „Alina“ eingeflossen und sorgen für jede Menge Abwechslung. Mit ihrer natürlichen Ausstrahlung und gefühlvollen Stimme nimmt IAMAlina den Hörer mit auf eine wunderschöne Klangreise. Für den Feinschliff vertrauten die beiden auf niemand geringeren als den legendären Amerikaner Greg Calbi, der im Sterling Sound Studio bereits bahnbrechende Alben von John Lennon, Bon Iver, Bob Dylan, MGMT oder auch Adam Green mit seinem Mastering veredelte. Und das hört man Songs wie dem großartigen Opener „Back For You“, der packenden Akustik Version von „Heart In The Box“ oder dem darauffolgenden groovigen Electro-Pop-Song „On My Mind“ an. Doch auch mit einer echten Ballade kann Alina punkten. Den Song „I Love“ gibt es neben der Pop-Version auch in der Akustik-Variante. Welche Fassung man besser findet, mag jeder für sich selbst entscheiden. Episch-melancholisch wird es beim Stück „The Kind Of Man“, dass auch als erste Single-Auskoppelung zusammen mit dem dazugehörigen Musikvideo erscheinen wird. Zum Finale finden sich noch zwei spezielle Remix-Versionen von „Stronger Kiss“ und „The Kind Of Man“ auf „Alina“, die beide von Roberto Molinaro gemixt wurden. Die bezaubernde Sängerin veröffentlichte bereits Musikvideos zu ihren Songs „Back For You“ und „Stronger Kiss“ aus dem neuem Album, die zusammen mit ihren Live-Videos mehr als 600.000 Aufrufe auf YouTube erreicht haben.

Bereits am 15. Januar 2014 erscheint vorab IAMAlinas Single „The Kind Of Man“ mitsamt Musikvideo. Das Album „Alina“ folgte am 21. Februar über Dr. Music Records endlich auch in unseren Breiten und sorgt gewiss für Aufmerksamkeit. The enchanting pop album “Alina“ with spherical vibes from Southern Europe

IAMAlina – is the stage name of singer/songwriter Alina Chelaru who lives Rome. Both in her home country Romania where she opened for superstar Angela Similea and in Italy the musician with the eclectic style has become an established act within the music scene. After numerous acclaimed concerts and TV appearances in Italy, the singer now sets out to conquer the rest of Europe with the help of her 40.000 Facebook fans. Her multi-faceted album “Alina” empowers her to do so. 15 songs combine great pop music feelings with spherical and danceable electro vibes and surprising piano parts. IAMAlina is the essence of modern pop music.

With the IAMAlina project, the artist from the Romanian city of Focsani sets the sails for creativity and self-determination. In a joint effort with producer Antonio Matta Vazza, Alina Chelaru produced a diverse album that can hardly be categorized. Many different instruments, influences and genres went into “Alina” and these aspects make for a varied product. With her natural aura and her emotive voice, IAMAlina invites the listener to follow her on a beautiful sound experience. Legendary Sterling Sound engineer Greg Calbi who previously worked with artists such as John Lennon, Bon Iver, Bob Dylan, MGMT and Adam Green was put in charge of mastering the album. And you can clearly enjoy this fact in songs such as the great opener “Back For You”, the enthralling acoustic version of “Heart In The Box” or the groovy electro pop song “On My Mind”. Yet Alina has even more to offer – she gains extra points with a real ballad: The song “I Love” is offered in both a pop and an acoustic version. Which one you prefer is totally up to you. “The Kind Of Man” is an epic-melancholic song that is the first single and it will also serve for a music video. At the finale of “Alina” you will find two special remix versions of “Stronger Kiss” and “The Kind Of Man” which were both mixed by Roberto Molinaro. The enchanting singer previously released music videos for her songs “Back For You” and “Stronger Kiss” which have reached together with her live videos more than 600.000 hits on YouTube.

IAMAlina’s single “The Kind Of Man“ was released on 15th January 2014 including the music video and the full album “Alina” followed on February 21st via Dr. Music Records.
