Mit „Mirror Of Creation III – Project Ikaros“ betitelt, starten die deutschen Progressive Metal Urgesteine TOMORROW‘S EVE mit ihrem fünften Album das Comeback, das majestätischer, abwechslungsreicher und bombastischer nicht sein könnte und zeigt die Band auf dem Höhepunkt ihrer bisherigen Kreativität. Eine ausschweifende musikalische Reise der besonderen Art erwartet nicht nur Fans von kraftvoll nach vorne gehendem Progressive Metal, sondern auch Liebhaber orchestraler Epen, die von chaotisch aggressiven Keyboards verfeinert werden, dabei die Melodien aber nie zu kurz kommen lassen. Der ‘Mirror Of Creation‘ sorgt für komplexe Songstrukturen, die den Hörer zwar fordern, sich jedoch rekursiv mit eingängigen Refrains und seichten Klängen abwechseln. Die Dramen der vergangenen und vielleicht noch kommenden Menschheitsgeschichte werden so emotional und herausfordernd dargeboten, dass Gänsehaut garantiert ist, wenn die Band, bestehend aus Sänger Martin LeMar (Mekong Delta, Lalu, Nachtgeschrei), den beiden TOMORROW‘S EVE Gründungsmitgliedern Gitarrist Rainer Grund und Keyboarder Oliver Schwickert sowie Bass-Legende Mike LePond (Symphony X, Ross The Boss) als auch Schlagzeuger John Macaluso (Yngwie Malmsteen, Labyrinth, Ark, TNT), in die nächste distinktive Dimension ihres Schaffens vordringt. „Mirror Of Creation III – Project Ikaros“ wurde zusammen mit Markus Teske (u. a. Saga, Vanden Plas, U.D.O.) produziert und erscheint am 27.04.2018 über Baze Records.

Bereits 1999 bewiesen TOMORROW’S EVE mit ihrem Debüt „The Unexpected World“, dass ihr Mix aus melodiösem wie brachialen Progressive Metal zukunftsweisend ist. Auf dem gedanklichen Vorgänger „Mirror Of Creation II – Genesis 2“ schließlich, ist zum ersten Mal die Stimme Martin LeMars zu vernehmen, die den Sound der Truppe bis heute prägen soll. Parallelen zu Szenegrößen wie Iron Maiden oder Savatage sind mehr als deutlich auszumachen, zeigt LeMar doch über die gesamte Länge des kommenden Albums seine außerordentliche Stimmvielfalt. TOMORROW’S EVE sind jedoch mehr als die Summe ihrer Einzelteile. Musikalisch fusioniert eine treibende Rhythmusfraktion, feinfühlige Pianopassagen, akustische Gitarren und weitläufige musikalische Landschaften mit dem lyrischen Gedankengerüst der Werke Edgar Allen Poes. Mit „Mirror Of Creation III – Project Ikaros“ gelingt es der Band abermals ihre Reputation zu verstärken und das merkt man den insgesamt elf Songs in allen Belangen an. Der Opener „Welcome To The Show“ beschreibt, wie sich der Saal verdunkelt und die Show ihren Lauf nimmt. Hierbei zeigt sich kompromisslos, in welche musikalischen Gefilde sich TOMORROW’S EVE vorwagen werden. „Morpheus“ malt das Unheil der Schlaflosigkeit und die Figuren verfolgende Alpträume aus, während „Bread And Circuses“ die Thematik auf Vergangenes lenkt und die Frage aufwirft, ob die Menschheit jemals aus den Fehlern ihrer Vergangenheit lernen wird. Dieses Szenario haben sie mit Unterstützung von Andy Pilkington (Very Metal Art) im grandiosen Lyric-Video, auf höchstem Niveau mit Hilfe seiner stakkatoartigen Bildsprache umgesetzt, die einem schier den Atem raubt. „Imago“ verdeutlicht schließlich, dass Angst der Schlüssel zum Wahnsinn sein kann, Privatheit und Individualität sind dabei nur einige der sterbenden Werte. Ähnlich operiert „The System“, ein Song, der gedanklich aufwirft, ob es für die Menschheit nicht sogar angemessener sei, sich letztendlich selbst auszulöschen, um der Menschlichkeit selbst willen. Der konzeptionelle Track „Dream Within A Dream“ beschreibt den Kampf gegen eben dieses maschinelle System. Das im Song gefundene Gedicht jedoch sorgt dafür, dass im Abgang „Somnium Ex Machina“ der endlose Zyklus des Systems durchbrochen werden kann. Das großartige Artwork von Andy Pilkington, der bereits für Künstler wie Threshold, Flotsam & Jetsam oder Orden Ogan gearbeitet hat, untermalt diese dichte Atmosphäre auf eine visuell herausstechende Art und Weise und trägt wesentlich zur Gesamtwirkung des Konzeptes bei, wie es auch die noch weiteren geplanten Videos zeigen werden.

TOMORROW’S EVE sind mit voller Wucht zurück im aktuellen Tagesgeschehen. Nach ausgiebigen Europa-Touren mit Bands wie Circle II Circle, Nightingale, Jon Oliva‘s Pain oder Ryo Okumoto ist das Quintett hungrig darauf, den Vorhang erneut zu lüften und alte wie neue Fans zur Show und ihrem brandneuen Konzeptalbum „Mirror Of Creation III – Project Ikaros“ begrüßen zu dürfen.

Titled “Mirror Of Creation III – Project Ikaros”, the German Progressive Metal institution TOMORROW‘S EVE start their comeback with their fifth album, which could not be more majestic, varied and bombastic and shows the band on the peak of its creativity so far. An extravagant musical journey of a special kind not only awaits fans of powerful driven forward Progressive Metal, but also fans of orchestral epics, which are refined by chaotic aggressive keyboards, but never neglect the melodies. The ‘Mirror Of Creation‘ provides complex song structures that demand the listener, but alternate recursively with catchy choruses and shallow sounds. The dramas of past and perhaps future human history are presented so emotionally and challenging that goose bumps are guaranteed, when the band, consisting of singer Martin LeMar (Mekong Delta, Lalu, Nachtgeschrei), both founding members of TOMORROW‘S EVE, guitarist Rainer Grund and keyboard player Oliver Schwickert as well as bass legend Mike LePond (Symphony X, Ross The Boss) and drummer John Macaluso (Yngwie Malmsteen, Labyrinth, Ark, TNT), will enter the next distinctive dimension of their work. “Mirror Of Creation III – Project Ikaros” was produced together with Markus Teske (i.a. Saga, Vanden Plas, U.D.O.) and will be released on 27th of April, 2018 through Baze Records.

Already in 1999, TOMORROW’S EVE proved with their debut “The Unexpected World” that their mix of melodic and brutal Progressive Metal is trendsetting. Finally, on the conceptual predecessor “Mirror Of Creation II – Genesis 2”, the voice of Martin LeMar is to be heard for the first time, which characterizes the sound of the band until today. Parallels to established acts of the scene like Iron Maiden or Savatage are more than obvious, as LeMar shows his extraordinary vocal diversity on the entire length of the upcoming album. TOMORROW’S EVE, however, are more than just the sum of their parts. Musically, a driving rhythm section, sensitive piano passages, acoustic guitars and extensive musical landscapes merge with the lyrical concept of the works of Edgar Allen Poe. With “Mirror Of Creation III – Project Ikaros”, the band once again succeeds in strengthening their reputation and this is evident in the eleven songs in all respects. The opener “Welcome To The Show” describes how the hall darkens and the show is starting. This shows uncompromisingly into which musical realm TOMORROW’S EVE will venture out. “Morpheus” depicts the tragedy of insomnia and the characters pursued nightmares, while “Bread And Circuses” directs to the topic of the past and raises the question if humanity will ever be able to learn from failures of the past. This scenario has been produced by Andy Pilkington (Very Metal Art) in the brilliant lyric video at the highest level with help of a staccato-like imagery, that takes your breath away. “Imago” illustrates that fear can be the key to insanity, privacy and individuality are just a few of the dying values. “The System”, a song that mentally raises the idea, if it would be not even more appropriate for humanity to end up wiping itself out for the sake of humanity itself. “Dream Within A Dream” describes the battle against this very mechanized system. However, the poem found in the song ensures that the endless cycle of the system can be finally revealed in “Somnium Ex Machina”. The brilliant artwork of Andy Pilkington, who already has worked for artists like Threshold, Flotsam & Jetsam or Orden Ogan, accentuates this dense atmosphere in a visual eye-catching way and contributes significantly to the overall effect of the concept as the following planned videos will show as well.

TOMORROW’S EVE are back in full force in the current day’s events. After extensive tours in Europe with bands such as Circle II Circle, Nightingale, Jon Oliva‘s Pain or Ryo Okumoto, the quintet is hungry to raise the curtain again and to welcome old as well as new fans to their show and the brand new concept album “Mirror Of Creation III – Project Ikaros”.
